REPORT THEM. As soon as they threaten with legal action, they are outside the law. In my case, they are saying they have a 15 year old debt to collect and are threatening to bring me to court. A. 15 years is well outside the statute of limitations, and therefore makes this a "time barred debt", which they can't legally collect on. B. they are obligated to provide a written release of debt responsibility once any actual debt is paid, which they refuse to send me. It is important that you DO NOT PAY them anything over the phone, as it will not guarantee that they won't just sell your information to the next debt collection scam artist. And if you agree to make a partial payment, the statute of limitations just starts over again at which point legal action can be taken against you. I have received 4 calls from this number within the last few days...very rude, threatening "charges will be processed" offering me to contact the client to resolve and reference number 321033 but when you call the number left to contact, I received a fast busy signal repeatedly
