i got a call today from this number and all i can say is this is NOT capital ones phone number!

CALLED LEFT NO MSG . CALLED THAT NUMBER GOT CAPITAL ONE WHO CLAIMED IT WAS A LEGITIMATE NUMBER FROM THEIR BUSINESS OFFICE BUT I DIDN'T BELIEVE THEM AND GAVE THEM HELL.

I received a call from this number today claiming they got my information from Experian and, based on my prompt payments, I qualify for an interest rate reduction on ALL my cards, lower than 6%. All I needed to do was to provide the expiration to one of my cards and the full number to verify who I was. I told him that I thought this was a scam and that since he initiated the call he should have all my information readily available. He claimed he had to access the report and needed to verify my information. He hung up when I would not comply with his request. Please be cautious, if it's too good to be true it's a scam. Don't be trusting, these scammers are always finding ways to scam consumers.

Caller ID came up as Capital One. Hung up as soon as I said I wasn't interested. Couldn't understand. Could hear many people talking in the background

I received a call from this number today. My caller ID said Capital One. I answered the call and it was a lady with a very heavy accent which sound like she was from India. I couldn't understand what she was saying and I told her that I think the call is a scam. She immediately hung up. Approximately ten minutes later I called the number back and it had prompts asking for an account number or social security number. I pressed the number three and a man came on the phone with a not so apparent accent. I asked if this was really Capital One and he said yes. I didn't feel right and I told him that I think it's a scam and he hung up. Something needs to be done about this.
