Called 3 times in one minute. First call blocked, because Comcast (my phone company) blocks all calls listed as "Anonymous". 2nd and 3rd calls were identified as "Washington DC". Did not answer the calls as I do not know anybody in Washington DC, and do not care to talk to any politicians if it is they who are calling. From previous experience, this number is used to scam people with calls about subscriptions to an anti-virus program. Amount of $249.99 to be charged to my credit card for this anti-virus program. Do not need that, because I use free anti-virus programs on my computers and they work quite well. Will contest charge with credit card company if those charges do appear on my bill. Most likely it is a phishing scam so they can get your credit card number and then charge who knows how much to your account. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER they want you to call to stop the charges. |
