Answered by accident thinking it was hubby (didn't look at caller id). Deep voiced male asking for donations for the families of fallen police. He will mail the donation envelope and asked for $15. Said I already donate to a group (I don't), he dropped the requested donation to $10. Said I can't. He replied that hopefully next year I can contribute and hung up. Listed this as unsafe as I know of a variety of phone scams that tug on the heart strings of people for the families of fallen officers. Will be calling local police dept to check on this. |
