Scam - claimed was from Spectrum cable and would give me a discount off my bill. Asked for credit card information to clear up current billing cycle before could begin the new 24-month Senior Discount government program. The caller passed the phone to his supervisor to seal the deal. I DO NOT HAVE Spectrum Cable. Various calls by the same person showed different local numbers. He gave me this number when I asked that I call him back. He later called me back showing the 800 number. They have the ability to show false numbers on the caller ID. One number showed the name of my town government. |
