caller claims to be from Xcel energy - advising acct is past due and disconnect set for today - no past due balance results in them stating that all xcel customers were sent letters in May 2021 stating xcel was moving to a new payment system and all payments since may have not properly reflected account - transfers you to a supervisor who advises they will help set up your new acct but you have to be approved for the new quick pay payment plan and auto withdrawal for future - hang up - call xcel report it all Xcel is tracking |

Caller ID comes up as Xcel Energy. Robot call announcing power will be disconnected in 45 minutes due to bill not being paid and to press 1 to connect to someone. Pressing 1 immediately connects to the "disconnection department" at this point the person tries to get personal information. This is a scam. |
