They called looking for someone whom I don’t know with my last name. They also called other family members. It’s obviously a scam for money

A gentleman, Thomas Ward, called from a collection agency making threats to contact my employer, my immediate supervisors, colleagues, and all my family members regarding a debt, which I sent in rebuttal about several yrs. ago. He threatened to come to my work to serve me with papers by a deputy or warrant server. He called my husband stating the same information, threatening to come out of our home to serve us with a warrants.

The young lady said I need to call 855-210-5081...welp that number is to a garage door company. She said they will proceed with the warranty for my arrest. Then she said that she needed to verify my address and never verified the address. I have an outstanding balance, no honey I do not...I have no outstanding bills. I guess issue the warranty and we will see what happens.

Calling my family harassing them about me claiming they are a litigation department working for the government. If I don't call them back they will issue a warrant out for my arrest.

Calls pretending to be government, businesses, or family and friends was reported by a user from Austin via FTC.
