Generic caller ID for County of San Diego

They are calling pretending to be a non profit organization asking personal questions.

They kept saying "hello..hello..hello" like they couldnt hear me.

They did not identify themselves or who they were trying to reach. They did not give a reason for the call or any information regarding how to return the call. In fact, they listened to the generic robotic non-identifying message on my machine and then hung up. How is that an effective call on their part? Suspicious.

I got called by this number and they kept saying something over and over something church

I received a call on this number which went to voicemail. It was the County Animal Control office responding to an email I had sent them earlier today.

Called and a recorded message said, “You dialed a non working number”, and the call drops.

Got a call from this number at 8:30 at night. A man left one of the best voicemails i’ve ever gotten. It started with a whistle, and then, with the most deliberate delivery, they asked “Hey, Jack... what was that? Was that a Bird? Was that a plane? Am I going insane, Jack? Or was that you?” My bf and I thought it was from a movie at first, that’s how striking it was. For the record my name is not Jack but I don’t think it mattered to whoever called me. When I tried calling back, I got the “non-working number” line too. If this is from the CalFresh office, I hope they leave a trail of weird voicemails to wrong numbers across the county.

Inhave this saved iny phone as DNA which means Do Not Answer. This is a spam call, when I've called back before and this time it says "this is a non working number". So it is spam, someone trying to get your information and more. So...DNA! :)

This number is totally safe. Its from the San Diego Housing Commission that just wanted to ask me couple of questions...

Guy said his name was Jessie and said he was returning my call. I told him I did not call.

Had 5 or 6 calls on cell phone from this number. Didn't recognize so i called back. No answer. Apparently a lot of people are getting calls from this number but no answer or message option.

Ok number. County of San Diego, Heath & Human Services. You cannot call back on this number because calls made by the County go through a general switchboard (not the actual number of the caller). This is done to protect the identity and safety of County employees . I know because I'm a former employee. They called back, I answered and it was legit.

My boyfriend got a call from this number on his phone and I answered it because I had his phone at the time she asked for him I said he wasn't there if I could take a message she wouldn't tell me who she was I called back because she gave such a bad attitude and it was a non-working number
