Was on the phone for nearly 6 hours with folks who claimed I had an outstanding warrant for my arrest for 'failure to appear' as an expert witness in a case. The "civil" resolution for this was to obtain green dot cash cards to submit for "bail" (which would be refunded in 2 days based on my innocence). After I stayed on the phone this entire time fulfilling what they asked, and was ready to go to the Sherrif's Station, they 'discovered' one more warrant. And wanted me to start the entire process over again. Mind you, I never knew what case this involved. And, my husband is at home with Stage 4 cancer and on a feeding tube which only I can service. It was horrible. When I looked up the number upon returning home (which they told me put me in a criminal resolution of the problem and that I will be arrested), I find this number being unsafe and that all of this was likely a fraud. So, I am likely out $6,000 I'd say this all makes this number UNSAFE! |
